The Community Safety Team are made up of a Corporate Community Safety Manager and 5 Community Safety Project Officers. Members of the team have varied backgrounds but all have significant experience in dealing with crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour. We form part of the wider team that includes Substance Misuse, Domestic Abuse and Tobacco Control.
What we do
Ultimately the team’s remit is to reduce crime and disorder and anti-social behaviour through delivery of projects at a local level. What this means in practice is that they lead on a range of initiatives to address problems in key areas. This can be about reducing repeat victims of domestic burglary, developing multi-agency action plans to tackle anti-social behaviour or delivering advice on how to avoid becoming the victim of vehicle crime, to name just a few.
If you are bothered by off-road motorcycles, quad bikes or go-peds then please help us to help you. We will then take your anonymous information and work with the Police to identify the riders and deal with them.
