The Warwickshire Business Energy Advice Service helps Warwickshire SME businesses to reduce their energy bills.
This service is part of the pilot Business Energy Advice Service across the West Midlands.

What can WBEAS help you with?

Coventry City Council has been appointed to deliver the service on behalf of Warwickshire County Council and the five District and Borough Councils. Coventry City Council will be providing these support opportunities in our business community through:
- promoting awareness of net zero adoption, across sectors, including a series of workshops (using practical case studies).
- increasing business knowhow and understanding to support the implementation of decarbonisation plans.
- Offering 1 to 1 support from Specialist Environmental Advisors including an audit to quantify potential carbon savings, and development of a decarbonisation plan.
- Facilitating access for SME to online toolkits – to capture quantified CO2e and associated economic savings.
- Signposting SME to additional relevant services, including some grant opportunities where eligible for implementing decarbonisation & energy efficiency plans.
It has now been confirmed that as part of the WBEAS programme, a government funded grant scheme to support businesses with low carbon adoption, is now available.
On completion of an energy audit, businesses may have the opportunity to apply for a capital expenditure grant of up to 50% match funding for between £1,000-£100,000 to implement their energy efficiency recommendations. The grant funding is limited, so there is no automatic acceptance guaranteed.
Coventry City Council manage the receipt of registrations, undertake the audits required to access the grant programme and will signpost eligible businesses, with suitable projects, to the grant programme. Applications for grant are by invitation only and supporting information and advice on how to make an application will be offered at that time.

Zellar - Support to Reduce your Energy Costs
Warwickshire businesses can kickstart their sustainability journey and benefit from free access to ZELLAR, helping to reduce their carbon emissions and energy bills.
ZELLAR is an online sustainability platform that enables businesses to calculate and understand their carbon emissions and then build an achievable plan to reduce them, based on business size.
