This centre will be busy at weekends which may lead to delays. You may at times be directed to another site. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience.
Access to the site
For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres. However, if you do not have access to a vehicle, and would like to visit a site on foot, arrangements can be made by calling Waste Management on 01926 412593 at least 24 hours in advance or 48 hours in advance of a weekend. A charity reuse shop run by Age UK Warwickshire can be found at Hunters Lane. All proceeds from the sale of materials from the shop go directly to the charity. To find out whether a certain item is accepted at the shop please contact reuse shop directly:
The reuse shop is open from 9.30am until 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am until 4pm on weekends and bank holidays.
This site accepts
Asbestos, Batteries, Car Batteries, Cardboard, Carpet, Cartons, Clothes, Cooking oil, Electrical , Fluorescent tubes, Foil, Food and drink cans, Fridges and Freezers, Garden waste, Glass, Hardcore and rubble, Hard plastics, Household waste, Mobile phones, Paper, Plasterboard, Plastic bottles, Printer cartridges, Scrap metal, Shoes, Soil, Telephone Directories, TV’s and monitors, Used engine oil, Wood and timber.
Sorting and separation of waste materials
In order to recycle as much as possible at recycling centres, staff may open bin bags brought onto site which would have otherwise gone into the ‘waste for disposal’ skip. Your co-operation is appreciated.
Warwickshire County Council is aware that some people may still want to dispose of waste in vehicles which are excluded by the vehicle and trailer restrictions. Facilities are available at Hunters Lane and Princes Drive household waste recycling centres on a chargeable basis. We will also accept commercial waste at these centres.

Hunters Lane household recycling centre
Information on hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals and paint and items that are restricted such as clinical waste, soil/rubble, plasterboard, tyres and gas bottles.
Information to assist you manage your business waste properly along with what services are available for recycling and disposing of your business waste.
Restrictions are in place at all of Warwickshire’s recycling centres and restrict vehicles such as vans, pick-ups, trailers and large 4×4’s.
For information on where your recycling goes. Any rubbish placed in the household waste container will go to landfill or an energy from waste plant.
For safety reasons pedestrian access is not permitted at any of the recycling centres. However if you do not have access to a vehicle please call the waste management team on 01926 412593 where arrangements may be able to be made (48 hours notice required).
In order to recycle as much as possible, black bags may be opened by staff and you may be asked to sort and recycle any mixed bags of rubbish. Please remember to pre-sort your rubbish before visiting and place all items in the correct containers. Please co-operate with staff and ask for assistance if required.
