Children and young people with SEND usually need more support during their education. SEND needs are varied, some children will need specialist provision whilst others will need extra support in a mainstream school. This section details the support available so you can start to figure out what is appropriate for your child.

If you have concerns about your child, start by talking to the SEN Co-ordinator in your child's educational setting. It’s worth remembering that a child does not need a diagnosis to receive special educational provision (extra support).
