Also known as “full Council”, this is the meeting of all 57 county councillors. It meets at least six times each year (February, March, May, July, September and December).

Council is the only body that can adopt or change the Constitution and approve and adopt the policy framework. It approves the budget each year, which includes decisions on the allocation of capital and revenue resources, the planned use of reserves and council tax.

Council meetings are open to the public, unless otherwise stated and can be watched live or as a recording.
