About the tour
The Lloyds Tour of Britain is the UK’s premier road cycling event and part of the international UCI ProSeries. It attracts world-class riders, including Olympic and Tour de France champions, and a roadside audience of over 1 million people.
The race is free to watch, making it a perfect day out for families, schools, cycling fans, and anyone who wants to cheer on the riders as they race through Warwickshire.
A world-class field of 19 teams will contest the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women from 19 - 23 August 2026, featuring a record-equalling 13 UCI Women’s WorldTour teams and nine of the world’s top ten ranked squads. The five-stage race will bring together many of the sport’s biggest names, with defending team champions FDJ United-Suez, two-time overall winners Lidl-Trek, and powerhouse outfit Team SD Worx–Protime among those set to compete from the opening stage in Cockermouth through to the finish in Royal Leamington Spa.
The race will also showcase emerging talent alongside established stars, with four British-registered UCI Continental teams – DAS-Hutchinson, Handsling Alba Development Road Team, Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team and O’Shea Red Chilli Bikes – joining the Great Britain Cycling Team in the line-up.
This year’s event will be the first women’s Tour of Britain to feature five stages, matching the men’s race for the first time and underlining the continued growth and prestige of women’s professional cycling in Britain.
