Access to the children’s area from 8 June

From 8 June, on Wednesdays and Fridays (term time only) the children’s area at Stratford Library will close from 3.45pm onwards to allow library access in a sensory environment for individuals with complex disabilities. There will be a limited selection of children’s books for all ages available outside the children’s area during these times.


Warwickshire Libraries will continue to keep you and our staff safe. When you visit we ask you to:

  • sanitise your hands

  • choose to wear a mask

  • respect the space of others

Adhere to the national restrictions and stay at home if you have any symptoms of coronavirus.

Let’s Make technology space
Children’s and young adult groups and activities

Events and activities for pre-school and school aged children. Book in advance at Eventbrite - places are limited.

  • Lego Club – imaginative, creative Lego sessions for primary school aged children
  • Let's Make - explore and experiment with innovative and creative technology.  Currently unavailable
  • Rhyme Time – songs and rhymes for 0 to 2-year-olds and parents and carers
  • Story Stomp – fun session for 2 to 4-year-olds and their parents and carers to follow on from Rhyme Time

Other groups and activities
  • Local Interest Coffee Mornings - with refreshments, a talk and discussion. Relax, meet new people, browse our local history resources, and maybe learn something new.  No need to book, just drop in.  1st Wednesday of every month, 10am
  • Shakespeare for All - join experts from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust as they read through Shakespeare’s Complete Works.  Read, or simply sit back and listen.   Free of charge, no need to book, just drop in.  First Saturday of the month, 10.15am
  • Stratford Library Reading Group - 2nd Thursday of the month, 3 - 4pm

Safe Place

Stratford Library is a Safe Place where you can go to get help if you feel unsafe or at risk when you are out and about.

We will help you contact your support worker, family member, carer or the police. You will know it’s a Safe Place as it will have a sticker in the window.
