Stage 4: Atherstone to Burton Dassett Hills Country Park

The UK’s biggest professional cycling event, the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, is returning to Warwickshire this September!

Stage Four of the race will take place on Friday 5 September, with the route travelling through all five district and boroughs of the county.

This exciting stage will begin in Atherstone and end with a spectacular hilltop finish at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park.

What to Expect

The Warwickshire stage offers a dramatic finale. Riders will tackle the tough 700-metre climb at Burton Dassett, averaging a 9% gradient, not once but three times in the closing kilometres. The final climb will determine the stage winner, making it an incredible viewing opportunity.

Whether you want to see the world’s top cyclists in your local area or enjoy the thrill of a major international sporting event, this is an unmissable chance to get involved.

A Countywide Celebration

There’s plenty of opportunity for Warwickshire children to get involved, including a competition to design the official start flag and winner’s trophy for the stage.

The Lloyds Tour of Britain has downloadable resource packs specifically designed for schools to use in lessons, assemblies and activities.
