These pages share useful resources recommended by Warwickshire teachers to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those who may need extra help at school. All staff working within education setting are encouraged to explore these resources.

The resources are grouped into the four main areas of SEND. Each section includes short videos with practical ideas for making learning more inclusive, plus links to other tools and activities you can use in your setting. In addition, our General Inclusion Resources offer guidance that is relevant across all areas of SEND and supports inclusive practice at a whole‑school or setting level.

This is not an exhaustive list and education settings are encouraged to contact Warwickshire's SEND and Inclusion Services (sendchange@warwickshire.gov.uk) to explore further and identify the most appropriate support for each child or young person.

Why a 'one size fits all' approach doesn't work

The short video below highlights why a ‘one size fits all’ approach does not work for children and young people with SEND, and how inclusive practice benefits all learners. It provides helpful context for the resources on this page and is a useful starting point before exploring what is available.
