Social Impact Fund

Set up in early 2021, the Social Impact Fund was a £1 million funding pot created to act as a catalyst for building stronger communities and promoting financial, digital, health, social and cultural inclusion. Applications were welcomes from voluntary, community, social enterprise organisations and Town and Parish Councils.

21 projects were successful at the application phase, 16 of which were revenue projects between £25,000 – £50,0000 and 5 capital projects between £50,000 and £100,000. Levelling Up Warwickshire was also a key factor with the 21 awards partly aligned with the 22 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOA) identified as priority places.

The fund has been managed by the Heart of England Community Foundation who were commissioned to manage the application process, ensure due diligence, make payments and monitor and report.

The fund has built on the spirit of community power in Warwickshire that was alive and well during the pandemic and help communities thrive in recovery. Beneficiaries of the fund have been varied from building a new Youth and Community centre in Barford to expanding and developing the community hub, Saints, Nuneaton.Logos of organisations working with the social impact fund
