Community Powered Warwickshire
The global crisis of the pandemic tested and demonstrated the strength of Warwickshire’s community power. Community power is based on the principle that communities are best placed, with their knowledge, skills and assets to respond to the challenges they face. This is why it now sits in the Council Plan, agreed April 2022, to unlock and fulfil the full potential of individuals and our communities. Community Powered Warwickshire develops this community spirit to work collaboratively and imaginatively alongside partners to meet the challenges of supporting the economy, facing inequalities, tackling climate change and keeping the county healthy and safe. Community Powered Warwickshire establishes 5 Ground Breakers to facilitate this collaborative partnership including Community Powered Place-Shaping, Stepping Forward Starts Here, Highways to Help, Wellbeing Neighbourhoods and Community Supermarkets.
