The Warwickshire Waste Core Strategy was adopted on 9th July 2013. Once adopted, the Waste Core Strategy replaced the Waste Local Plan (1995) as the principal Development Plan Document for considering planning applications for waste development in Warwickshire. The information below is for archive purposes only.
The Warwickshire Waste Local Plan was adopted in 1995 and identified the most suitable areas for the processing and/or disposal of waste. The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) required that adopted Local Plans should be replaced by new ‘Local Development Frameworks’ and subsequently, all of the Waste Local Plan policies were saved until September 2007. Beyond this period, only certain policies were saved.
