Adoption of the Minerals Local Plan (2018-2032) 22nd July 2022
Warwickshire County Council adopted the Warwickshire Minerals Local Plan 2018-2032 at Full Council on 19th July 2022. Final adopted version of the Minerals Plan.
The Warwickshire Minerals Local Plan will now form part of the Development Plan for the county alongside the adopted Waste Core Strategy and the Local Plans for the Borough and Districts in Warwickshire. It will be used to make decisions on mineral planning applications for mineral extraction, processing and restoration and resources to provide assistance to Boroughs and Districts to ensure that minerals resources and infrastructure are not sterilised by non-mineral development.
The formal adoption statement is set out below. It includes details of where the Plan adoption documents can be viewed.
In accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004, the following documents (“the Documents”) have been made available:
- The Adoption Statement;
- The Formal Notice:
- The Sustainability Appraisal Addendum including a summary of (SUBs 03,04,05, and 06 PSDs 34,35, and 36) as a Post Adoption Sustainability Appraisal Statement.
The final Habitat Regulations Assessment with the final Post Examination Modifications.
The Documents will also be available for inspection in person at the County Council’s Offices at Shire Hall in Warwick, and at all public libraries in Warwickshire. Further information on opening hours and visiting arrangements at the local Councils can be found on their websites.
