What we offer
Children’s and young adult groups and activities
  • Chess Club - for children aged 7-16.  Drop in, no need to book.
  • Lego Club – imaginative, creative Lego sessions for primary school aged children.
  • Rhyme Time – songs and rhymes for 0 to 2-year-olds and parents and carers.
  • Sensory Libraries - for children/young people with additional needs. Free but booking essential. For ages 2-10 and ages 11 and over. Book in advance.
  • Story Stomp – fun session for 2 to 4-year-olds and their parents and carers to follow on from Rhyme Time.

Other groups and activities
  • IT Help - get help using a computer or your own device. Book in advance.
  • Local Interest Coffee Mornings - with refreshments, a talk and discussion. Relax, meet new people, browse our local history resources, and maybe learn something new.  No need to book, just drop in
  • Shakespeare for All - join experts from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust as they read through Shakespeare’s Complete Works.  Read, or simply sit back and listen.   Drop in, no need to book
  • Stratford Library Reading Group - 2nd Thursday of the month, 3pm to 4pm

Safe Place

Stratford Library is a Safe Place where you can go to get help if you feel unsafe or at risk when you are out and about.

We will help you contact your support worker, family member, carer or the police. You will know it’s a Safe Place as it will have a sticker in the window.
