The Warwickshire Youth Justice Service (WYJS) is dedicated to working with young people aged 10 to 17 who have offended or are at risk of offending. Our mission is to prevent youth crime and support young people in making positive changes.
Services Provided:
- Working with Children who have come into contact with the police on either an out of court resolution or court order with the aim of reducing reoffending
- Acting as appropriate adults for young people held at police stations
- Offering support for young people on bail and finding accommodation for those remanded to the Local Authority
- Preparing reports for courts and providing supervision for various court orders
- Implementing Referral Order panel meetings
- Facilitating Restorative Justice opportunities between victim and young person
- Education focused worker to support education, training and employment
- Providing Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) support for young people
- Providing Substance Misuse Support via a referral to Compass.
- Providing Mental health support via CAMHS/RISE if required
- Support for parents/carers whose children are open to Warwickshire Youth Justice Service
Partnerships
WYJS collaborates with multiple agencies, including social care, probation, police, education, health services, and local councils, to ensure a comprehensive approach to youth justice. We are actively involved in crime reduction partnerships, drug action teams, and community safety plans.

We are committed to providing services with sensitivity and awareness of issues related to oppression and social exclusion. Our goal is to help young people stay out of trouble and contribute positively to their communities.
