The current contract is structured around geographical zones, with fixed pricing determined by factors such as whether an area is urban or rural, the volume of customers within each zone, and associated travel requirements
Providers applying to join the contract were invited to bid for specific volumes of work within designated zones, with agreed levels of business guaranteed.
There are eight zones across the county, as illustrated in the graphic above, each comprising a mix of urban and rural areas. This model is designed to maximise the time carers spend with customers by limiting travel to a single zone, thereby supporting more targeted and efficient delivery of care.
