Stage 4: Atherstone to Burton Dassett Hills Country Park
The UK’s biggest professional cycling event, the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, is returning to Warwickshire this September!
Stage Four of the race will take place on Friday 5 September, with the route travelling through all five district and boroughs of the county.
This exciting stage will begin in Atherstone and end with a spectacular hilltop finish at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park.
Road closures
A major event of this scale does mean there will be some disruption to ensure that the race is safe for riders and spectators. There will be rolling road closures on most of the 116-mile route, with fixed road closures limited to the start and finish. See "Plan Your Visit" for details.
What to expect
The Warwickshire stage offers a dramatic finale. Riders will tackle the tough 700-metre climb at Burton Dassett, averaging a 9% gradient, not once but three times in the closing kilometres. The final climb will determine the stage winner, making it an incredible viewing opportunity.
Whether you want to see the world’s top cyclists in your local area or enjoy the thrill of a major international sporting event, this is an unmissable chance to get involved.
