Apply for a chaperone licence
Warwickshire County Council only approve chaperones who live in Warwickshire. You must apply to the local authority in which you live if you live outside of Warwickshire.
Children must be in the care of either their parent (the child’s legal guardian) or an approved chaperone at all times. A chaperone licence is valid for three years. The chaperone approval/renewal cost is £25 for volunteer chaperones and £69 for paid chaperones.
You must allow four months for a chaperone/renewal licence. It can be quicker than this but we cannot guarantee anything less than two months, due to a DBS being undertaken. The minimum age for a chaperone is 18 years old. We only approve chaperones who live in Warwickshire.
