Armed Forces Breakfast Clubs

Armed Forces Breakfast Clubs (AFBCs) are run by Armed Forces Personnel and Veterans, for veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces. Clubs can be found across the UK and are completely FREE.

There are AFBCs in Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinkley, Lutterworth and Daventry.

RAF Association Befriending Service

RAF Association Befriending Service volunteers offer companionship and support to anyone in need of a friend. They support current serving and ex-personnel, Regular and Reserve, as well as their spouses, partners and family. They also welcome applications on behalf of beneficiaries and will work with the person supporting them.

The Not Forgotten Association

The Not Forgotten Association is a small, unique and highly personalised tri-service charity whose role is to provide entertainment and recreation for the benefit of the serving wounded, injured or sick and for veterans who suffer from a disability or illness.

The Royal British Legion Veterans Family/Carer Breaks

The Legion offers much-needed breaks to ex-Service and serving personnel and their families. If the individual or a member of their family is recovering from an illness, bereavement or other life- affecting event, the Legion can provide a comfortable and enjoyable break.

The West Midlands region break centre is at Somerset Legion House, which is in Weston-Super-Mare. Break services are available to serving or ex-Service men or women and/or their dependants who are in genuine need of a break.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers

Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who have lost a parent who was serving in the British Armed Forces. The support offered to the children includes fun activities such as holiday breaks and group events, personal development assistance through educational grants, and access to professional bereavement counselling.

The Ripple Pond

The Ripple Pond is a self-help support network for the adult family members of physically or emotionally injured Service Personnel and Veterans. Ripple Pond aim to provide a safe place for people to express their thoughts and feelings and to be heard by others

For help and support, call 01252 91302. The office is based in Aldershot and is staffed from 9.30am- 2.30pm Monday to Friday. There is a form to begin the process and messages are checked throughout the day, evening and weekend. Ripple Pond aim to respond to requests for support within 24 hours.
