Child Car Seat Check Referral and Booking Service
Warwickshire Road Safety Education and Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service are offering a new referral and booking service for community partners who want to bring child car seat checks directly to the families they support.
Why refer your setting?
Incorrectly fitted child car seats remain a major issue across Warwickshire, with 71% of seats checked at our public events requiring adjustments. Many problems—such as incorrect installation, loose harnesses, or unsuitable seat choice—can be easily fixed with professional guidance.
By hosting an event, partners can
- Provide families with direct access to trained child car seat practitioner
- Support confident, safer travel for children
- Reduce barriers for families who may not attend public drop‑in sessions
- Strengthen local engagement and community safety initiatives
Who can request a session?
This service is available to:
- Family Hubs
- Early years settings
- Schools
- Community groups and voluntary organisations
Sessions can be tailored to the needs of your setting and scheduled to fit around drop‑off, pick‑up, or planned community events.
