Warwickshire Community Infant Feeding Team

The Infant Feeding Team is made up of Lactation Consultants, Midwives, Health Visitors, Nurses, Support Workers, and Administrators. After an initial discussion, the team offer a package of care tailored to your needs. They promote relationship building, skin to skin, effective milk transfer, baby brain development, responsive feeding, positioning and attachment, emotional attachment, close and loving relationships and more. The team also provide antenatal sessions.

The following organisations can also support you with breastfeeding:

  • The National Breastfeeding helpline provide breastfeeding information and support 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
  • Mothers and others guide is an easy read booklet that gives parents information to make informed choices about feeding and caring for their baby. This booklet is given out to families by midwives and health visitors so do ask for a copy if you don’t have one.
  • Association of Breastfeeding Mothers is a group of trained volunteers dedicated to supporting breastfeeding mums and their families.
  • La Leche League offer breastfeeding support including a helpline and information on local groups.
  • Start4Life Breastfeeding Friend is a digital tool the offers practical information and advice on breastfeeding via Facebook Messenger.
