FAQs

How much does it cost to take part in the Warwickshire Challenge?

It is free of charge.

Will young people receive any funding to pay for the challenges?

Most of the suggested challenges do not require funding, but they may require some equipment or entrance costs.

How will young people know which challenges they can access?

Challenges are only suggestions. Where possible, we have provided links to online resources or websites with more information. Most challenges on offer can be accessed locally.

My school offers the Duke of Edinburgh award. How is the Warwickshire Challenge different from this?

The Warwickshire Challenge is not a prescribed programme of activities. You do not have to complete specified activities to achieve the award. You can define your own goals and plan how to achieve them, with the support of a parent, carer or mentor. Unless your school decides to facilitate the activities, the Warwickshire Challenge is not an organised ‘group’ or after-school club.

Is there any accreditation for completing the programme?

There is no official accreditation.
