The programme
The HBMP scope is to repair eight historical highway structures over a period of five years. Due to difficulty in maintenance of such structures, the five-year programme allows suitable time to manage all eight schemes through effective procurement, availability of labour resources/skilled labour, consent applications, and resourcing of materials such as stone which has to be quarried.
Year 1 - 2020/21
- Preliminary works to B4085/006 Bidford on Avon River Bridge. Phase 1 works carried out.
Year 2 - 2021/22
- A428/002 Bretford Bridge, Rugby
- B4117/001 Cole End River Bridge, Coleshill
- B4085/006 Bidford on Avon River Bridge, Bidford-on-Avon. Phase 2 works carried out
Year 3 - 2022/23
- C33/001 Baginton Mill Bridge, near Coventry
- A3400/037 Clopton Bridge, Stratford upon Avon. The main programme of works is scheduled to be split between year 3 and year 4.
Year 4 - 2023/24
- A425/004 Castle Bridge, Warwick
- A3400/037 Clopton Bridge, Stratford upon Avon
- C46/005 Binton Bridge South, Welford-on-Avon.
