Traffic management updates

In order to complete the highway works at Heath End Road, our contractor CR Reynolds needs to resurface the highway. To achieve that Heath End Road will need to be closed to vehicular traffic between The Raywoods to outside number 325 Heath End Road.

To facilitate the re-surfacing, the road closure will commence for five days (Monday-Friday) on 24 July 2023. The closure will then be removed for the weekend of 29/30 July, before a further, final five-day closure commencing 31 July 2023, through to 4 August.

As we will be working along Heath End Road and Tenlons Road, this will unfortunately mean that the entrances to adjacent businesses and residences will therefore be affected for which we apologise in advance. The contractor is not to start works before 8am or continue beyond 5pm from Monday to Friday.

Access to all properties will be maintained at all times where possible, except when the contractor is working directly in front of a particular access. In these instances the contractor will make alternative arrangements, for which we request your cooperation and use of the alternative access arrangements.

The works along the Heath End Road are intended to be completed by early August 2023.

Why are the works necessary?

The works are necessary to support economic growth and access to jobs through improved transport links and reduced congestion including improved access to Bermuda Park Railway Station and an improved environment for cyclists and pedestrians.

Restrictions on working times

Unfortunately, some disruption will be unavoidable, though efforts will be made to keep delays to a minimum.

We will further provide updates if any significant alterations to the traffic management arrangements are required.
