This section brings together a range of in-depth JSNAs covering topics such as mental health, healthy ageing, drugs and alcohol, domestic abuse, LGBTQ+ communities, adults with a learning disability, children aged 0–5 years, and the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
Each JSNA explores a topic in detail, providing evidence to support planning, decision-making and action to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for Warwickshire residents.
LGBTQ+ JSNA (2026)
This JSNA examines the health needs of the LGBTQ+ population in Warwickshire. It looks at the demographics of the LGBTQ+ population, their health outcomes, and how the wider determinants of health impact on these outcomes.
It is split into the following sections:

- An integrated health and care system
- Our health behaviours and lifestyles
- The places and communities we live in and with
- The wider determinants of health
Adults with a Learning Disability JSNA (2025)
This JSNA looks at the demographics of the adult population with a learning disability, their health outcomes, and how some of the wider determinants of health impact on these outcomes.

Healthy Ageing JSNA (2024)
Healthy ageing is about recognising that ageing does not take a single, fixed trajectory; there are things that we can all do as individuals, communities, organisations and society to influence this trajectory to take a ‘healthier’ course.
The Healthy Ageing Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) seeks to understand what older adults in Warwickshire need to live longer, happier, and healthier lives, as well as what strengths individuals and communities already have that support this aim.
Mental Health and Wellbeing of Infants, Children, and Young People JSNA (2023)
This JSNA aims to provide an understanding of the mental health and wellbeing needs of infants, children, and young people aged 0-25 across Warwickshire.
This JSNA looks both at service provision and access, as well as highlighting where proactive prevention may be possible around the wider determinants of mental health and wellbeing.

Warwickshire Drugs Needs Assessment (2022)
Warwickshire County Council commissioned TONIC to undertake a Drugs Needs Assessment to inform future planning and commissioning decisions ahead of a re-commissioning process, to help make strategic investment decisions based on contextual information about local substance use, treatment, and the current need.
Children’s 0 to 5 JSNA (2022)
This Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) aims to provide an understanding of the needs of Children aged 0 to 5 across Warwickshire.
The assessment incorporates national and local evidence to support local priority setting and action.
Warwickshire Alcohol Health Needs Assessment (2022)
The Warwickshire Alcohol Health Needs Assessment aims to identify and reduce alcohol related harm in Warwickshire. This is done by:
- Using epidemiological approaches and a broad range of quantitative and qualitative data sources to comprehensively and comparatively assess the needs of the population of Warwickshire concerning alcohol misuse.
- Identifying areas of current unmet need and health inequalities.
- Making recommendations to address the needs of the local community in future service partnership working, system responses, and commissioning.
The report provides an overview of the latest alcohol related statistics, services, and partners actions across Warwickshire.
Warwickshire’s Domestic Violence and Abuse JSNA (2021)
This Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) aims to provide an understanding of domestic violence and abuse (DVA) across Warwickshire. This JSNA presents an in-depth analysis of the national and local picture of DVA to assist partners with the ongoing development of their response to DVA in Warwickshire.
Coventry and Warwickshire Mental Health Needs Assessment (2021)
