The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is for children in full time education from reception to year 11, who receive benefits-related free school meals.
It means children on benefits-related free school meals can access funded activities with a healthy meal over the Christmas, Easter, and Summer holidays.
HAF has SEND specific providers and can provide funding for 1 to 1 support to enable young people with SEND to attend mainstream providers. Funding is limited with requests submitted by activity providers currently on a first come basis once our activity listings are made visible.
HAF also has family experiences aimed for young people with SEND and free school meals.
Always disclose your child’s needs when booking places. We can provide funding for your child to have 1 to 1 support with the provider, as long as a suitably trained member of staff is available to assist with your query.
