Petitions

Anyone who lives or works in Warwickshire, including those under 18 years old, can sign or organise a petition. It must relate to the provision of services that the Council has responsibility for, or other local services where the Council may be able to exercise influence over the decision-makers.

You can submit a new petition or sign current petitions online and we also accept paper petitions. These should be delivered to Shire Hall in Warwick or posted to Democratic Services, Warwickshire County Council, PO Box 9, Shire Hall, Warwick CV34 4RR.

Petitions with more than 50 signatories will be referred to Cabinet or a Portfolio Holder to respond.

Those with more than 1,000 signatories have an additional right for the lead petitioner or a representative to speak and present the petition at a meeting of Full Council. If you’d like to do this, please submit your petition at least 10 working days before the meeting.

Once we have received your petition, you will be contacted within five working days with an update on next steps.

Further details about petitions are included in our WCC Petitions Scheme.
