We all want to live a life that feels good and right for us. For some people, things may have changed over time, and others may have always needed more support. Adult Social Care helps those of us who need extra support because of age, illness, disability, or other difficulties, to achieve this.

We are ready to listen to what you have to say and understand what matters most to you, working together, we look at what may help, including support from people already involved, practical options or care arranged through Warwickshire.

When needed, we make sure the right care and practical help is in place at the right time - in a way that feels right for you.

We want you to feel safe, valued, heard and be treated with kindness, so that you can live the life you want.

Adult Social Care support isn’t free for everyone. If it looks like ongoing support may be needed, we’ll talk this through with you and complete a financial assessment to understand whether you would need to contribute towards the cost, and how much that might be.

If you feel equipment might help you

For impartial advice about equipment that can help with day-to-day living, you can visit AskSARA.  AskSARA is an online tool that offers personalised advice about equipment and small changes that can help make everyday life a bit easier. It works by asking a few simple questions about day-to-day activities, then suggests practical ideas that may be useful.

Talking with us about support

If you get in touch with us, we will start with a conversation.

Together, we will talk about:

  • what matters most to you day to day
  • your routines
  • what is working well
  • who or what is already helping
  • where more support might make things easier
  • what equipment and technology might help

We will look at whether we provide ongoing support and we do this using national guidelines referred to in the Care Act 2014, but we will always talk this through with you and keep things as clear and straightforward as possible.

The conversation might be over the phone or in person and it can include people who are important to you if that feels right. It is all about taking time to understand what your day-to-day life looks like and what could help.

If we are not the right service for you, we will do our best to help you find other options and where you can go for support.
