Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD)

Healthy Ageing: IDAOPI does not perfectly align with the Healthy Ageing 65+ year-old population, as it measures anyone over 60 who experiences income deprivation. It also does not include older people who are financially struggling but not accessing means-tested income benefits, whether because they are not claiming any benefits or only receiving non-means-tested benefits such as State Pension or disability benefits.

Thriving Adults: The income and employment domains do not perfectly align with the Thriving Adults 18-64 year-old population as the income domain is an all-age indicator and the employment domain covers those aged 16-64. As the income domain is based on receipt of specific means-tested benefits, it does not include people on low incomes who do not claim qualifying benefits or who receive non-means-tested benefits.

Empowering Futures: IDACI does not cover the whole of the Empowering Futures 0-18 age range, focusing on children aged 0-15. As IDACI is defined by eligibility for specific means-tested benefits, it does not include children whose families are low income but not claiming benefits or who are claiming non-means-tested benefits.
