Rural business and communities

Rural Warwickshire is home to 169,000 residents and 37% of our businesses. While economically rural Warwickshire makes up 34% of the county’s total output (3.9 billion), more than double the UK average.

We are committed to supporting a vibrant and diverse rural economy.

Warwickshire County Council has secured £453,000 from the Rural England Prosperity Fund to support rural businesses and communities. This funding is aimed at:

• Micro and small businesses in North Warwickshire and Stratford-on-Avon.
• Providing capital grants to support growth, innovation, and sustainability.
• Encouraging match funding, with an expected intervention rate of 40%.
• Ensuring all projects are delivered and claimed by March 31, 2026.
• Applications open late July and close in September 2025, with a potential second round depending on demand and project quality 1.
