Recalibrating Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Council Council Plan 2026 – 30

The Council Plan sets out our purpose and direction for our residents, partners, businesses and staff.

Our mission is to improve services; build a new, better form of local government for Warwickshire; and transform for the future.

Recalibrating Warwickshire is set around six key areas of focus:

  • Safe and strong childhoods
  • Living well in Warwickshire
  • Building brighter futures
  • Economy, growth, jobs and skills
  • Highways and transport
  • Proud places and safe communities

Our areas of focus are underpinned by four common goals:

  • Value for money
  • Optimising technology and innovation
  • Empowering local communities
  • Delivering excellence

Council Delivery Plan

The Council Delivery Plan 2026–28 sets out the key actions we will take over the next two years to deliver the ambitions in our Council Plan 2026-30.

It focuses on our six priority areas - three centred on People, three on Place - alongside our commitment to being fit for the future. The plan turns our strategic direction into clear, trackable actions, with named responsibilities and priorities to guide delivery across the organisation.

Approved by Cabinet on 11 June, the Council Delivery Plan will run until March 2028 and will help inform decisions about resources, focus and delivery, alongside the wider work set out in service business plans.
