Who are the Children in Care Council?
It’s a group of children aged 11 to 17 who meet once a month and act as a voice for every child in the care of Warwickshire County Council.
It’s a safe place to share your experiences and expectations.
An opportunity to meet friends but most importantly to make change.
We want to empower you to grow in confidence, to find your voice and to use it to make positive changes regarding your support and journey through care.
What happens there?
At CiCC we will help you to set the rules and the agenda.
We will talk about matters that are important to you.
Whether you are interested in improving your environment, your health and wellbeing, your experiences of education or care we are here to get you talking.
We will invite senior leaders and services that need to listen and can make change.
It doesn't end there
As a group you will decide on the most important areas that need to be changed.
We will keep you updated of any of your ideas that have been implemented.
Need a bit more encouragement?
Well, you can talk as much or as little as you like.
