Cost

The parental contribution for 2019/20 is as follows:

  • where the student lives less than three miles from the school – £397 per year, or £50 deposit upfront then £43.37 per month (over eight months)
  • where the student lives more than three miles from the school – £795 per year, or £50 deposit upfront then £93.12 per month (over eight months)

Students or families in receipt of a qualifying benefit will qualify for a reduced charge:

  • where the student lives less than three miles from the school – £198 per year, or £50 deposit upfront then £18.50 per month (over eight months)
  • where the student lives more than three miles from the school – £397 per year, or £50 deposit upfront then £43.37 per month (over eight months)

In order to qualify for the reduced rate, families need to be in receipt of at least one of the following benefits:

  • income support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (or equal based income-based and contribution based JSA)
  • the guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • the maximum level of Working Tax Credit
  • employment and support allowance (income-related, or equal based income-based and contribution based ESA)
  • Child Tax Credit (below the relevant threshold of £16,190)
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 or
  • Universal Credit (with an annual income of £7,400 or less).

Please note that the prices above are subject to change each year in line with the Council’s annual inflation rate.
