About the Role

A flexible part-time role, with hours ranging from clerking for one school to several schools and hours being agreed individually to suit your availability.

Working from home, Governance Professionals will be expected to attend meetings at school at times convenient to the governing board — usually early evenings. Meetings are usually in person with the occasional meeting taking place virtually at the request of the Chair of Governors.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and attending meetings (online and in-person)
  • Building strong relationships with governors
  • Accurately recording minutes of meetings and maintaining electronic governance records
  • Providing professional advice and guidance
