Supporting children looked after and previously looked after
Warwickshire’s children and young people need supportive and understanding schools. Designated teachers need to advocate for them and ensure their needs are understood and addressed. When things become difficult, the best schools work tirelessly to find solutions that enable CLA and CPLA to be successful and not experience further rejection or failure.
Each year the Virtual School works with a small group of Warwickshire schools to help them become attachment aware, providing training and support to enable them to develop better relationships within their settings leading to improved academic outcomes.
