How do I apply?
All parents of year 6 pupils will be receiving information in the post on how to apply for a school place. However, you do not need to wait to receive your letter and can also find information about secondary school admissions and apply now on our website. You will need to set up an account or log in to the Parent Portal.
What is a priority area and how do I know if I live close enough to my preferred secondary school?
A priority area is similar to a catchment area and is one of the criteria taken into account when considering your application for school places. You can check the priority areas – just zoom in on your area until you can click on the road you live in. Your nearest school is then shown but you can also see the boundaries of the priority areas for all schools. There is no guarantee you will always be able to gain a place at the school that is nearest to where you live so please check the admissions criteria on each school’s website.
