We are all doing our part in the battle against COVID-19. However, in order to help the most vulnerable and the NHS, the Government is asking everyone to now stay at home.

What should I do?

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has instructed all people to stay at home, and you should only leave the house for one of four reasons.

  • Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.
  • One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.
  • Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.
  • Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.
  • The latest guidance can be found here

While you are following the above guidance from the Government, for the times when you are outside your home please ensure you follow social distancing guidance.  For example, please stand 2 metres away from other people when you are queuing at the supermarket, exercising, and in the workplace.
