With the ongoing Coronavirus situation, some pharmacies are being overwhelmed so the public is being asked to help by only calling pharmacies where appropriate.

In order to ease that pressure and to get the necessary advice as quickly as possible, people are being asked not to visit pharmacies (or GPs) unless urgent.

The latest guidance is:

Residents are also being requested to only telephone in the following circumstances

  • NHS 111 if serious COVID symptoms
  • 999 for emergencies
  • local GP or pharmacies for advice.
