Introducing 40 mph speed limit and waiting restrictions on Ashlawn Road, Rugby as well as additional waiting restrictions on Barby Road and Onley Lane in Rugby.

Scheme overview

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 we propose to:

  1. Impose a 40 mph speed limit upon that length of Ashlawn Road which is described in Schedule 1.
  2. Vary the existing Warwickshire County Council (Borough of Rugby) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On-Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017, as described (by approximate measurements) in Schedule 2.

Exceptions to any waiting restrictions described in Schedule 2 will permit waiting for the purposes of picking up and setting down passengers, loading and unloading goods, for vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge and in connection with the maintenance of the road and the supply of gas, water or electricity.

Traffic orders and public notices

A copy of the proposed Orders, together with copies of Orders to be varied, plans showing the lengths of road affected and statements of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, at Rugby Borough Council, Town Hall, Rugby and at the Library & Information Centre, Little Elborow Street, Rugby during usual opening hours.
