Huge congratulations to all our amazing adult and children’s social workers who continue to advance their skills so that they can improve outcomes for people throughout Warwickshire.
Over 40 team members were celebrated at an event on 4 March for successfully completing social work qualifications. The staff from adult and children’s services were recognised for finishing their ASYE (Assessed and supported year in employment), EPD (Early professional development) or NAAS (National assessment and accreditation system) qualifications.
The ASYE programme provides newly qualified social workers with additional support during their first year of employment to help them develop their skills, knowledge and professional confidence. EPD and NAAS programmes are designed for more experienced social workers to provide them with a better understanding of their current level of knowledge and skills and highlight areas for further development. These qualifications aim to support employers to raise the national standard and consistency of practice by giving them a better understanding of their workforce development needs.
The evening was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, congratulate everyone on their achievements whilst enjoying tea and cake. Thank you to a great team who are making such a valuable contribution and helping residents in the county, ensuring that Warwickshire is the best it can be!
