Introducing waiting restrictions, a 20 mph zone, traffic calming measures and a cycle track near to Rokeby Junior School, Rugby.

Scheme overview

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and further to the development of Rokeby School (Long Furlong and Anderson Avenue, Rugby), we propose to make the following changes:

  1. Impose a 20 mph zone around the new access road to the school.
  2. Vary the existing Warwickshire County Council (Borough of Rugby) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On-Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017, introducing waiting restrictions around the access road to the school and at the junction of Dunchurch Road and Kingsway.
  3. Upgrade the junction of Dunchurch Road and Kingsway to signal controls.
  4. Introduce traffic calming features within the 20mph zone.
  5. Convert the footway on the south side of the Long Furlong Road and east side of Anderson Avenue to a cycle track with joint pedestrian use.
