Flood Action Week returns from 12 to 18 October 2026, encouraging people to understand their flood risk and take simple steps to prepare for flooding and protect themselves and their property.
Led by the Environment Agency, Flood Action Week is an annual campaign that brings together organisations and communities to raise awareness of flooding and encourage people to be better prepared.
As part of this year’s campaign, the Environment Agency has launched Flood Action Online, a new one-stop shop designed to make it easier for people to understand their flood risk and find practical advice on how to prepare.
The website brings useful information and services together in one place, including advice on checking your flood risk, signing up for free flood warnings, checking current flood warnings and alerts, and making a flood plan.
Taking steps to prepare can help people, families and communities become more resilient to flooding.
