Young people from across Warwickshire are invited to come together, meet new people and have their say at this year’s Warwickshire Youth Conference.
Our Voice, Our Warwickshire will take place on Friday 30 October 2026 at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Ansty Park, with a day packed with interactive workshops, activities, conversations and opportunities to share ideas.
Young people have shaped plans for this event from the start, including the workshops and topics that will be explored on the day. This means their ideas, interests and experiences are at the heart of the conference.
There will be seven workshops covering everything from lifesaving skills and mental health wellbeing to confidence, careers and environment.
Young people can learn how to perform CPR and use a defibrillator with Warwickshire Hearts, while Guardian Ballers will explore mental health and wellbeing through sport, games and team challenge.
Those wanting to build their confidence and make themselves heard can take part in a workshop exploring public speaking and how to raise the issues that matter to them with local MPs and other leaders.
Other sessions will explore budgeting and future employment, self- identity, motivation and planning for the future, as well as how young people can work together to make positive environmental impact.
The Beyond Stigma - Building stronger peer communities workshop will explore practical ways to challenge stigma and build more supportive peer networks.
Alongside the workshops, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet other young people from across Warwickshire, connect with organisations and services available to support them, and enjoy activities including a dancing machine and digital graffiti wall with even more surprises on the day.
This year marks Warwickshire’s fourth Youth Conference, following on Future Ready in 2022, Voices of Tomorrow in 2023 and Shaping Tomorrow Together in 2025.
Last year, around 100 young people took part in workshops, activities and conversations covering topics including mental health, crime and safety, experiences at school and life skills.
Warwickshire County Councillor Wayne Briggs, Portfolio Holder for Children and Families, Education and SEND, said: “I’m pleased our popular and successful Youth Conference is returning and it’s fantastic that young people are playing such an important part in shaping the day.
“We want Warwickshire to be a place where children and young people feel listened to and valued so I hope many will join us next month to enjoy everything the conference has to offer and come away feeling empowered and inspired.”
A member of Warwickshire Youth Council, said: “The Youth Conference is a chance to meet new people, try different activities and have fun, but also to talk about the things that are important to us.
“Being so involved it what happens on the day makes it feel like it really is our conference. I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s ideas, seeing some new faces and having a great day together.”
