Warwickshire County Council are proposing to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to amend waiting restrictions near to Rugby railway station.
As a result of reports of obstructive parking in Aqua Place and the estate of Edison Drive and Bell Road (off Technology Drive), the Council has been asked to consider introducing measures to help manage dangerous and obstructive parking in the form of legal Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). The Council can then use its Civil Parking Enforcement powers to issue a financial penalty to motorists who don’t comply with the restrictions.
Proposals are described in the public notice below and are to introduce a no waiting restriction (Monday to Saturday, 10am to 11am) to prevent all day parking, thereby improving free flow of traffic, reducing obstructive parking, and improving visibility in an area with high levels of pedestrian and cycle travel.
A copy of this notice, the proposed Order(s), any Order(s) to be revoked or varied, together with plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order(s) can be inspected at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick.
