The main works contract for the A46 Stoneleigh Junction Improvement Scheme has now been awarded to Colas-SIAC Limited.
Our contractor Colas-SIAC have been completing some work already, and through the main works contract will now undertake a number of key activities over the next two months including:
- Installation of Colas-SIAC’s site offices and works compounds including access points to be constructed to tie-in with Stoneleigh Road and the Stoneleigh Road and Dalehouse Lane Roundabout
- Installation of fencing, both to protect the trees to be retained in the area from damage during the construction works and to secure the site
- Drainage survey work on both the A46 and local road network
- Site clearance works in the area
- Co-ordination of utility diversions
