Having built the site compound, March will see our contractor Colas-SIAC begin earthworks as part of Phase 1 (refer to the construction sequence page on this website for phasing details).
This will be the first stage of constructing the new A46 northbound entry slip road and southbound exit slip road and will be carried out largely away from the existing road network.
The Warwickshire County Council Forestry and Colas-SIAC teams will also be working together over the next few week, under the supervision of our Ecologist, to cut back the canopies of mature trees in the area where required so these trees can be safely retained as part of the final scheme.
