My child has an Education, Health and Care Plan and I want to change their school

Admission to mainstream schools is normally through the usual in year school admissions process.

However, if your child has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan and you want to apply for a different school, then please speak with your child’s current school in the first instance, or your child’s EHC Plan Coordinator. An update of the EHC Plan may be needed before any consultation with other schools take place to determine if they can meet your child’s special educational needs.
