You can apply for a permit to install apparatus for traffic surveys. Warwickshire County Council (WCC) permits the use of tubes, temporary radar, cameras, Bluetooth sensors, air quality monitors, and ANPR equipment.
Please read the terms and conditions before applying through our form. WCC will assess your application within the timeframe stated in the terms and conditions. If approved, you will receive an email with a payment link. Once payment is completed, your permit number will be issued via email.
Permit Fees:
- £75 + VAT per piece of equipment – Data shared in C2 Drakewell format (guidance available if required).
- £125 + VAT per piece of equipment – Data shared with Warwickshire County Council (any accepted format).
- £200 per piece of equipment – No data sharing with Warwickshire County Council.
The applicant must maintain full public liability insurance cover for a minimum of £10 million per claim and provide evidence of this insurance upon request.
The form must be completed by the company or individual undertaking the survey. You will receive a response within 1 working day. Please allow at least 3 working days before the survey start date to accommodate any complications.
Important: Any traffic surveys undertaken without a valid permit within Warwickshire will be subject to a fine. The amount of the fine will depend on the nature of the offence and at the discretion of Warwickshire County Council.
