Model access and licencing Information
Model access
Warwickshire County Council have numerous models available in house that can be requested for use as part of reporting and understanding traffic impacts within transport assessments for planning application and Local Plan representation assessments.

Model licencing fees
Fees are set out in a schedule and calculated based on the number of trips generated by a development over a six-hour modelled period. This is the total number of trips arriving and leaving the development site between 7am and 10am and 4pm to 7pm or the three-hour modelled period on Saturdays (between 11am and 2pm), whichever is the higher figure.
| Band | Total motorised vehicle trips over a six-hour modelled period | Fee (excluding VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| A | A development that generates less than 850 trips | £10,000 |
| B | A development that generates between 850 and 1499 trips | £17,500 |
| C | A development that generates between 1500 and 2500 trips | £20,000 |
| D | A development that generates between 2500 and 4999 trips | £22,000 |
| E | A development that generates 5000 trips or more | £32,000 |
A discount of 50% off the total licence fee can be applied for Local Plan representation modelling assessments.
Model flow extraction
WCC offers model extraction which is the extraction of modelling outputs from relevant Paramics models (junction and link analysis) to be used for junction analysis.
Model extraction fees are charged at £110 per junction, per scenario. For example, one junction assessed across two scenarios would total £220. Adding an additional junction would increase the fee to £330 etc.
