Quality Assurance and Improvement

Warwickshire County Council remains committed to ensuring high-quality care provision through a robust Commissioning and Quality Assurance framework. This includes:

  • Ongoing collaboration with providers through regular communication, support visits, and access to training.
  • Implementation of the ‘See, Hear and Act’ approach, which triangulates intelligence from multiple sources to identify emerging quality concerns.
  • Deployment of Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) where necessary, to support providers in addressing identified issues.
  • Escalation of significant concerns to the Service Escalation Panel (SEP), where remedial actions—such as Voluntary Placement Stops (VPS)—can be agreed upon and monitored to ensure sustained improvements.

This proactive and collaborative approach ensures that service users receive safe, effective, and person-centred care, while also fostering strong partnerships with providers to drive continuous improvement.
